The Food Capital of Poland. Warsaw is such a cool city. So many nice breakfast, piekarnia, coffee, restaurants, bar and shops. I love this city. It really reminds me of a mix between London and Berlin.
Make your way to the neighbourhood Stary Mokotów. So many nice bars, restaurants and (pre-loved) boutique fashion shops. And also the rich history showcased in world-class museums like POLIN and the Warsaw Uprising Museum, there’s something for every kind of traveler. Warsaw is a city that blends the old with the new in the most captivating ways.

Restaurant Allora - This cool Italian restaurant is famous with the crowd! What a fabulous interior. Italian food, with vegan dishes and cocktails. There is the famous Allora tiramisu.

This contemporary, brick-built eatery with a patio serves an interesting combination of dishes and flavours with natural wine and cocktails. Prepare to queue.
Restaurant Joel - One of the best restaurants in Warsaw which offer Israel cuisine with sharing plates. A very cosy atmosphere.
Restaurant Lupo - Italian restaurant Lupo serves fresh made pasta, for meat lovers and vegetarians (no pizza). A cool place in Warsaw.

Tucked away in a side street, Peaches Gastrobar is the best vegan restaurant of Warsaw.

Located in Warsaw, the restaurant offers a sophisticated take on traditional Polish cuisine, often with a contemporary twist. Piekarnia Być może is a bakery, restaurant, cafe and deli in one. Start your day at Piekarnia Być może with the aroma of coffee and croissants in this sophisticated French bakery/bistro in the heart of Powiśle Warsaw.
Relaks Coffee - I enjoyed my afternoon at Relaks Coffee in the neighbourhood Stary Mokotów. Alternative, casual and chill atmosphere.
Piekarnia Rano [The Morning Bakery] - Go for a filter coffee and eat a thick slice of fresh bread with butter at artisanal bakery Rano in Warsaw.
Slodki slony Coffee - owned by the famuous Gesser family (check the restaurant Wodka Gessler Na Widelcu) Coffee and cake!
Stor Coffee Warsaw - Coffee, cakes & sandwiches served in a trendy coffee shop that has outside seating. Two locations for coffee in Warsaw.
Breakfast Warsaw Poland
Piekarnia Baken feels like a combi of the the chic streets of Paris and the cozy corners of Copenhagen. I loved my coffee and cinnamon bun. The bread from Baken is made from 4 basic ingredients - flour, water, sourdough and salt. Simple and delicious.
Piekarnia Dej - Another great choice for breakfast and/or coffee.
Charlotte Bistro - Iconic for Warsawians, located on hipster Plac Zbawiciela, sit down for coffee/breakfast/lunch and watch the city life :) I loved this place also for drinks early evening. Be prepared to wait for a table.
Piekarnia Kubus - A former grocery store have been transformed into a true work of art, with pastel swans on the walls and cool furniture. Great place for breakfast in Warsaw.
Po Drodze - Speciality coffee at Po Drodze in Warsaw with yummy tosties.
Bar mleczny - A bar mleczny (literally "milk bar") is a type of Polish establishment, initially created to serve affordable meals, particularly to workers and students, often offering traditional Polish dishes.
SOUR Deli Bar - On the east side of the river in Warsaw. Go for brunch or dinner to Restauracja & piekarnia SOUR deli. From pastries and bagels to mouthwatering roast beef sandwiches.

Alewino Restaurant / Winebar - Modern seasonal food & wines in Warsaw. This unique, intimate restaurant & wine bar offers elevated seasonal dishes & 250+ international wines.
Look out for the signpost by the gates when arriving, as the entrance is tucked away off the main street. Bib Gourmand.
Cocktailbar Aura - A very cosy, tiny and uniquely designed bar in the city center of Warsaw Cool for cocktails.
Bar Plan B - "Plan B" is probably the most popular bar in Warsaw, located on the hipster Plac Zbawiciela, next door to Charlotte's Bistro. Both Plan B and Charlotte's Bistro have terraces outside for those longing summer evenings Very casual for the cool Warsaw boys and girls.
Bar Rascal - Bar Rascal is cool. Bar Rascal is hip. Natural wines with small plates to share. Make sure you have a reservation. Loved this place for some wine and nibles. Its that hipster, they even put people on the landing of the stairs. Highly recommended.

Pre-loved fashion store Crush - Curated Vintage & Second Hand Fashion with beautiful brands like Ganni, YSL, Baum und Pferdgarten, Isabel Marant and more. I have been told that Crush is a store where fashion editors buy and sell their clothes. Hurry!
The Odder Side is a modern fashion brand from Poland that celebrates simplicity, and individuality with sustainable and ethical designs.
Lui Store - Lui Concept Store offers the best Polish and foreign brands, as well as original accessories such as jewelry, brooches and handbags.
Mysia 3 - Mysia 3 is a cool boutique building that houses a selection of high-quality Polish brands, offering an alternative department store experience. It’s a place for slow shopping, with fashion stores, art, and plenty of creative inspiration.
Pre-loved fashion store Trzeba Zyc - Another nice curated vintage and pre-loved fashion shop in the hipster neighbourhood Mokotow area. With fashion brands like Custommade, Stella Nova, Bimba Y Lola, Baum und Pferdgarten, Ganni and more.
Things To Do Warsaw Poland
There are so many things to do and see in Warsaw that you could spend easily a few days in town. I went for 2,5 days and went to see the Palace of Culture, the Warsaw Uprising museum and the POLIN museum. Both vary impressive museums which will both make you pause for a moment to realise in what for world we live in.
Mokotowska and Koszykowa Streets in Warsaw stand outs as two of the most charming, prestigious streets of Warsaw which offer a beautiful glimpse into the rich history and architectural beauty. The architecture includes neoclassical, art noveau and modernist influences with lots of nice boutique shops.
The Trendy district Stary Mokotow is definitely a must for an afternoon. Rdest Bakery and Relaks Coffee are some tips. For shopping you go to the beautiful pre-loved fashion shops Crush and Trzeba Zyc. Pop in for ice cream at Pallone. Nowy Teatr for quirky performance.
The Palace of Culture - Go early morning to avoid the queues as much as possible. The towering Palace of Culture and Science, a gift from the Soviet Union, remains one of Warsaw’s most iconic structures and is hard to miss. Standing tall amidst the modern skyline, it offers stunning panoramic views of the city from its observation deck.
Royal Park Lazienki - I loved the Royal Park Lazienki a lot and spend a good morning here. Łazienki Park, with its picturesque gardens, serene lakes, and classical architecture, is an oasis of peace right in the middle of Warsaw. A visit here is a peaceful escape, whether you’re strolling past the Palace on the Water or admiring the famous Chopin statue.
POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews - The POLIN museum is a central stop on the tour, offering a comprehensive narrative of the history of Jews in Poland, from the Middle Ages to the present. I strongly recommended this museum. We must never forget what has happened.
Warsaw Uprising Museum The Warsaw Uprising Museum is an immersive tribute to the city’s 1944 resistance during World War II, offering a gripping and emotional experience. With interactive displays and poignant exhibits, it’s a powerful place to learn about the courage and sacrifice of the Polish people.
Jewish Warsaw city walk - This walking tour explores the rich, poignant history of the Jewish community in Warsaw, including landmarks like the Nożyk Synagogue, Jewish Ghetto Memorial, The Warsaw Ghetto Wall fragments and the The Umschlagplatz (Ghetto Deportation Square). It’s a profound journey that provides insight into the city’s history and the resilience of its Jewish population.
Warsaw Old town - I was recommended to walk from the city center of Warsaw via Nowy Swiat to end in the Old town of Warsaw. Very touristy, be prepared.
City Trip Warsaw in 2,5 days
Day 1 - 0,5 day. When you arrive end of the day. Make your way to the hipster Plac Zbawiciela for some afternoon drinks at Charlotte's Bistro (also very recommended for breakfast or lunch) For dinner I went to the best vegan restaurant of Warsaw Peaches Gastrobar. Walk along Ul Marszalkowska Day 2 - I went for breakfast to Baken Piekarnia for coffee and a cinnamon bun. Than I visited some shops like Odde rside and Le Collet, around the corner of the beautiful Royal Park Lazienki. I spend the whole morning here, strolling around the park, the Chopin Statue and to visit the Lazienki Palace.

In the evening I went for early dinner at Bibenda restaurant. Day 3 - I went for breakfast and than visited both the UPRISING museum and the POLIN museum as part of the Jewish Warsaw City Walk. Maybe a bit much for one day, but I preffered to take the history all in on one day and save myself another day for some shopping.
In the evening I saw a glimpse of Warsaw Old Town (very touristy) before I went to the cool Bar Rascal.
