The Cottage in Matlock, Peak District
This stylish two bedroom cottage is comfy and cozy and equipped with everything you need for a few days exploring the peaks. On the ground floor, there is a somewhat tiny but comfy living room. The velvet pink sofa, storage pouffe, big chair and posters on the wall give it a stylish, Scandi look and feel.
On the second floor you'll find two large bedrooms. The master bedroom has a luxurious king size bed with amazing views overlooking the Derwent Valley. Make sure to open the curtains in the early morning hours to enjoy the sun rise and the sounds of chipping birds. The second bedroom has twin beds and makes this place convenient to stay for four people.
Downstairs is a modern kitchen, a dining areas with a large farmhouse table. My favourite spot of the house is the comfy chair in the corner. It is the perfect place to curl up with a book, a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon to enjoy the breathtaking views. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the outside terrace with the bistro set to enjoy the sunrise and sunset.
