You'll find the beautiful countryside hotel Le Barn tucked away in the Rambouillet forest in Bonnelles, France. The hotel is the work of Parisian design studio Be-poles and the attention to detail is everywhere. Expect a mix of a luxury French country house and Paris chic hotel.
The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. Cozy rooms (ask for the ones with the view on the lake). We woke up with the sound of birds every morning. Make sure you try the Nordic spa facilities. Le Barn hotel has a hamman, sauna, outdoor Scandi-style hot tubs and a treatment room where you can book a massage.
There are also many outdoors activity to enjoy like horse riding and cycling. Or play a child hood game pétanque or ping pong. The choices are endless. Be prepared for a dreamy country retreat. Enjoy a romantic weekend getaway.

The Rooms Le Barn Hotel
The rooms are set up in two large barns with red sheet metal roofs and are designed by Parisian design studio Be-poles - known from the NoMad hotels in New York, London and Los Angeles - which makes it all so dreamy. The rooms are simple yet classic with white cotton bed linen (my favourite), horse sketches and other selected artworks are on the wall and stylish country-style tea and coffee making facilities make the room atmosphere complete. We were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the fishing pond. Bathrooms are sleek in matte black and white Metro tiles. You can even purchase the custom-made eucalyptus bath products. Take your memories home.
Restaurant and Bar Le Barn Hotel
Restaurant La Serre in Le Barn Hotel serves fresh, seasonal produce from nearby markets and farm producers in the area. Think large seasonal salads, blanquette of veal, leg of lamb and gravlax salmon served in a sun-drenched greenhouse.
In the hotel bar you can expect comfy armchairs and large sofas near the tall stove clad in the heart of the room. Picture yourself away with coffee and a book in the morning, or sipping a glass of wine or a cocktail in the afternoon. What's not to love?

The beautiful Château de Rochefort golf course, an 18-hole wooded course, open all year-round is only 3km away. Or do you fancy a game of Pétanque? You can even pick up your archery skills.
