City Guide Krakow

Beautiful Krakow! Krakow is one of Poland's oldest and most beautiful cities full with well-preserved medieval architecture, rich history, and vibrant cultural life.

Stare Miasto, Krakow's Old Town, is a UNESCO World Heritage site bustling with attractions, including the Main Market Square, which is home to the historic Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica. If you want to visit one church make sure it is this one. Don't miss the hourly trumpet call. You can also explore the Wawel Castle and Cathedral. The Castle is a bit disappointing but the Cathedral is beautiful.

The neighbourhood Kazimierz is a historic Jewish district in Krakow and is renowned for its rich Jewish heritage and vibrant cultural scene, featuring numerous synagogues, museums, and Jewish-themed restaurants and lots of cool small bars at Plac Nowy. It was once a thriving Jewish community until World War II. Today it stands as a poignant reminder of that past. Make sure you'll walk the Jewish Heritage Walk with landmarks like the Old Synagogue and the Remuh Cemetery.

If you have time make your way to the upcoming Podgórze neighbourhood, located across the Vistula River from Krakow's Old Town, with Piekernia Miejska and Restaurants Mazi and Restaurant Targowa2. Podgórze is a historical district that was the site of the Jewish Ghetto during World War II. Here you'll find the Ghetto Heroes Square, the Eagle Pharmacy Museum, and the Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory with a powerful exhibition highlighting his efforts to save over a thousand Jews from the Holocaust.
